Recipe: Orange Mango Cocktail
Low Caloric & Diabetic Friendly Recipe

Orange and mango are a perfect combination for a sweet and refreshing drink. I like to use Valencia oranges for their superior flavor and tartness. They do have seeds, but not many, and they are not hard to remove. Valencias are in season in the summertime, which makes it a perfect time right now.


US MED's Diabetic Recipe
Ingredients:

  • 1½ cups orange sections
  • 1 large mango (about 1 lb), peeled & cut into chunks
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp SPLENDA® Granular
  • 2 cups club soda

Preparation:

  • Whiz the orange sections, mango, lemon juice, salt and SPLENDA® Granular in a blender until very smooth. Press through a sieve and chill.
  • Before serving, stir in the club soda. Serve in tall chilled glasses over ice with a sprig of mint.
